Packers Fans Raise More Than $6,000 for Charity with The Power Sweep

Aaron Jones celebrates at Lambeau Field.

Even amid the aftermath of disappointing playoff defeat, we need to take time to celebrate the generosity of Packers fans. In two fundraisers to conclude the 2021 Packers season, our readers and listeners have raised more than $6,000 for Packers-related charities.

The Power Sweep’s annual December fundraiser was a runaway success this season. Supporting the Adrian Amos I’m Still Here Foundation and Shemar Jean-Charles’ team with the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, fans donated $2,730 to the causes supported by those two Packers players. And donations weren’t limited to fans in the United States, either. We received donations from numerous countries around the world, proving Packers fans from almost literally anywhere will throw their support behind their team.

But the generosity didn’t end there. Shortly after the new year, a Blue 58 listener (who asked to remain anonymous) contacted The Power Sweep with an offer: four tickets to the Packers’ upcoming Divisional Round playoff game if we’d stage another charity fundraiser. So we did, and fans responded. In less than a week, more than 100 Packers fans donated an additional $3,851.13 to the A&A All the Way Foundation, a charity Packers running back Aaron Jones operates with his twin brother, Alvin.

All told, Packers fans raised $6,311.13 for charity. Your generosity is incredible, and we couldn’t be more grateful for your continued support of these great causes. Thank you for responding when we ask for your support, and thank you for being great readers and listeners of the content we produce at The Power Sweep!
